Hello, I’m James McKinney with SES lighting and I want to tell you a little bit about an LED retrofit project we completed in Golden Colorado.
This property is a well-maintained two story, twenty-thousand square foot office building that had both surface and covered parking areas. Over one thousand fixtures were retrofitted at this property.
Not only did this retrofit project update the quality of lighting at the property, the tenants were able to recognize significant energy savings and reduced maintenance cost. Because this property was well-maintained and the fixtures were in good condition, all wall packs, parking lot posts and covered ceiling fixtures could be retrofitted with high output retrofit modules.
The interior which consisted of two by two u-bend proffers in the atrium, and two by four proffers in the offices and storage areas were all retrofitted with 18 watt LED tubes. This complete LED retrofit resulted in an estimated 68,000 kilowatt hour saved. That adds up to over 16000 in utilities savings a year.
Along with these significant energy savings, the local energy company offered a generous rebate program that resulted in an excellent ROI for the client of just over two years.
